Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies ORA Water uses on this website, why we use them, and how you can control your cookie preferences.
Last updated: March 1, 2026
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile) when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognize your device, remember your preferences, and improve your browsing experience across visits. Cookies do not contain personally identifiable information unless you have provided it.
2. Why We Use Cookies
ORA Water uses cookies to:
- Enable core site functionality such as navigation and form submissions.
- Measure website usage, page views, and user interaction patterns.
- Improve performance and content relevance based on anonymous behavior signals.
- Support PWA (Progressive Web App) offline capability and caching.
We do not use cookies for targeted advertising or cross-site behavioral tracking.
3. Cookie Categories We Use
- Essential Cookies: required for the website to function correctly. These include navigation state, service worker registration for PWA support, and form security tokens. They cannot be disabled without affecting site functionality.
- Analytics Cookies: used to understand how visitors interact with the website. Data is aggregated and anonymized — no individual is identified.
- Preference Cookies: store lightweight preferences such as scroll state or device settings to provide a consistent experience across visits.
4. Specific Cookies in Use
- Google Analytics (GA4) — _ga, _ga_*, _gid: analytics cookies set by Google to measure session counts, page engagement, and traffic sources. Data is anonymized before transmission. Retention: up to 24 months.
- Service Worker Cache: browser-managed cache entries created by our PWA service worker to support offline access and fast page loads. These are not traditional cookies and are cleared when you clear browser data.
- Nuxt / Vue Router State: session-scoped storage used for client-side routing and page transition state. Cleared on tab close.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may set their own cookies or collect data subject to their own privacy policies:
- Google Analytics: website analytics and performance measurement. Google Privacy Policy.
- Web3Forms: inquiry form submission processing. No tracking cookies are set by this service.
- Google Fonts: font delivery via Google's CDN. Google may log font requests per their usage policy.
6. How to Manage Cookies
You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies. Refer to your browser's help documentation for steps specific to your browser:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and Site Permissions
Note that blocking essential cookies may affect how the website functions.
7. Opting Out of Analytics
To opt out of Google Analytics tracking specifically, you may install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. This prevents data from being collected by GA4 while you browse any site using Google Analytics.
8. Cookie Retention Periods
- Session cookies: deleted automatically when you close your browser.
- Persistent analytics cookies (_ga): retained for up to 24 months, then auto-deleted.
- Service worker cache: retained until you clear browser data or the cache is invalidated by a site update.
9. Policy Updates
We may update this Cookie Policy as our technology stack, analytics tools, or legal requirements evolve. Any changes will be reflected with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
